Thriving in Place is Salt Lake City’s community-driven process to analyze and understand gentrification and displacement, and then craft a plan of action.
Through this work we are seeking to address the factors that are forcing many of our friends, family members and neighbors to leave, or to live without a home, because they can’t find housing here that they can afford.
We have the opportunity to build a better Salt Lake City for all of us.
The Thriving in Place process engaged thousands of community members to help us better understand the forces and impacts of gentrification and displacement in Salt Lake City, and then identify actionable policies that can help people stay and thrive in our community as we grow.
